We have partnered with an IT Services and IT Consulting company in the Washington, D.C area to provide them with a DBA / Database Developer- Remote. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the DBA / Database Developer :
1. This position requires an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance
2. Database Administration & Cloud Expertise : 2-5 years of experience in database administration, working with both Oracle and Postgres RDS, and managing cloud-based databases (preferably AWS RDS).
3. Database Development & Optimization : Proficiency in database design and modeling (E-R diagrams, data normalization), SQL query optimization (query tuning, indexing), automation, and scripting.
4. Security & Maintenance : Strong knowledge of database security (authentication / authorization, encryption, access control), backup / recovery, performance monitoring, and data migration / integration (ETL, data warehousing).
Requirements of the DBA / Database Developer :
Required skills :
- Ability to work with US Federal clients and possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance
- Minimum 2-5 experience in Database administration
- Experience with both Oracle and Postgres RDS
- Experience with cloud-based databases (preferably AWS RDS)
- Experience with database automation and scripting
- Experience in database design and modeling (E-R diagrams, Data normalization)
- Experience in SQL and query optimization (Query tuning, Indexing, etc)

- Experience in Backup / Recovery, Performance Monitoring
