Cloud Solutions Architect

RELI Group is hiring a seasoned solution architect who has a deep understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and is experienced in the design, implements, deployment, and operations of cloud solutions using the AWS technologies, services, and tools. The SA must be experienced in the AWS Well Architected Framework (WAF) pillars, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, efficient, and managed with operational excellence. The SAs must have business, technical, and people skills.

The SA must possess the necessary technical skills including basic programming, software development and continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), database, networking, security skills, modern application architecture skills, and knowledge of GenAI/AI/ML technologies.

The candidate will possess a self-starting attitude and will plan the technical requirements to transition a design into working solutions. The candidate will be a key member of our Cloud Center of Excellence including establishing and documenting best practices and processes for cloud and data solutions. 

The ideal candidate has expertise in data extraction, manipulation and visualization technologies.  Preference for candidates with knowledge of Large Language Model and GenAI cloud offerings and tools.  You will be joining a forward-thinking, innovative team that is responsible for building and overseeing public and private servers and network infrastructure in a way that supports key business objectives.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, build, test, and deploy cloud solutions to ensure large amounts of data can be transferred and stored efficiently with IAC experience.
• Maintain information accuracy and security while initiating bulk data transfers.
• Strong understanding of the AWS Pillars.
• Use prior knowledge and creativity to troubleshoot and solve technical issues as they arise.
• Vet cloud providers and third-party services that provide high-quality storage options within budget.
• Create data transfer and storage standard operating procedures and policy documentation while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Keep up to date with developments on current cloud computing solutions and processes.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on using and accessing data on the cloud, especially during major transfer, updates, or changes.
• Serve as the cloud architect subject-matter expert to support marketing and proposal writing efforts, and participate in company webinars, trade shows, and panels.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends
• Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS), knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure and Google Clouds, or other major cloud computing services
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software application, and design
• Experienced with AWS Cloud Compute Services to include EC2, ECS Fargate, AWS Gateway, AWS Lambda serverless computing
• Experience or knowledge of the AWS database services, e.g.: RDS, Arura, DynamoDB, RedShift, and others
• Experience in AWS storage services such as S3, EFS, EBS, FSX, Storage Gateway, etc.
• Knowledge of the AWS AI/ML and GenAI stack including Bedrock and its underlying LLMs, SageMaker HyperPod, deploying Hugging Face and other models, and using Jupyter on AWS
• Experience in both application deployment and understanding of networking, subnets, and CIDR block configurations
• Strong cloud migration and data management skills with an emphasis on data privacy and security
• Multitasking and managing competing priorities
• Work independently, engaging others when needed, to drive work to closure on-time
• Ability to research government legislation and mandates to formulate the proper solutions based on government protocols
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and can thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong communication and writing skills with the willingness to collaborate with cross-functional departments and teams, and able to capture action items and status clearly and concisely
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
• Five years’ experience as a cloud architect or similar role
• Relevant industry certifications in AWS
• Must be willing to travel to the DMV area 10-20% of the time

The annual salary range for this position is $210,000.00 to $225,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
