Description
The Marketing & PR Intern will support the marketing and communications team in developing and executing content across various platforms, including websites, social media, and digital campaigns. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals while gaining real-world experience that complements your academic studies. Interns will work on a variety of marketing and communications projects—ranging from content creation and branding to digital strategy and design—and will gain insight into navigating the transition from student to professional in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creation and development of content for websites, social media, and digital channels
- Contribute to writing, editing, and design projects as needed
- Help develop content calendars, schedule posts, and engage with followers across social media platforms
- Research and brainstorm content ideas, trends, and topics to support marketing campaigns and initiatives
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must be a college sophomore, junior or senior actively enrolled in a related degree program (e.g., marketing, communications, public relations, business, etc.)
- Must reside in a HUBZone (check eligibility here)
- Must provide a portfolio or samples of work prior to the interview
- Must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (personal or professional), including LinkedIn and Twitter/X
- At least 1 years of educational or professional experience in marketing, social media, public relations, or content creation
- Experience using design and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms for graphic and video design
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail

The hourly rate for this position is $15 per hour. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
