Job Description: Title Examiner / Title Specialist
Position Summary:
The Title Examiner/Title Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of property titles. This role involves thorough research, analysis, and review of property records and legal documents to identify and resolve potential issues, ensuring the insurability of real property. Strong customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with real estate professionals are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of property records, legal documents, and other pertinent information to ensure the accuracy of title reports. Review deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and other relevant documents affecting property ownership.
- Title Commitment Preparation: Prepare and issue accurate title commitments that clearly outline all relevant details, exceptions, and requirements.
- Problem-Solving and Resolution: Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve title-related issues, including clearing liens, obtaining missing documents, or addressing discrepancies in property records. Ensure all corrective actions align with company and industry standards.
- Customer Service and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and other professionals involved in the transaction process. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a seamless and timely closing process.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of title examination processes, property records, and legal documentation related to real estate transactions.
