What are the responsibilities and job description for the GFE/ GFM Logistician position at Reliability & Performance Technologies ( R&P )?
R&P is looking for a motivated logistician to support modernization efforts of our client's most advanced surface combatants. We are a small defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients.

- Supports the planning of major modernization and new construction shipyard periods.
- Monitors and evaluates work package development and execution to ensure that government furnished equipment and materials (GFE/GFM) are identified, procured, and delivered to executing activities.
- Coordinates, reviews, evaluates, and assists customer with resolving programmatic and technical issues with the planning yard, executing shipyard, government contractor organizations, or the government design agent to assure that GFE/GFM are provided in accordance with contract requirements, best shipbuilding practices, and within cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate with planning yard, warfare centers and AITs, to proactively resolve design and production problems as they arise.
- Prepare logistics briefings, plans, concept papers, white papers, meeting minutes and action item reports, and other required logistics documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate logistics meetings including Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Advisory Groups, Change Boards, Program Logistics Reviews, and Working Groups.
- Support various logistics processes and planning efforts including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Life Cycle Cost Estimates, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Fielding Plans, Disposal Plans, and Manpower and Training documentation.
- Support the development and maintenance of acquisition logistics documentation including configuration management plan, product support strategy, and supply lists.
- Evaluate logistics policies, procedures, and planning to identify methods in which to improve the availability of required logistical support.
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of relevant work experience or high school diploma with minimum 7 years of relevant work experience. Higher degree can be substituted for years of experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
- Experience working with or for US Navy / NAVSUP or NAVSEA SUPSHIP preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10% to support customer requirements.
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
