Duties and Responsibilities
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized attention to each resident's needs.
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Carrying out assignments required for the resident's ADLs, such as incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, and other needs.
- Maintaining skin integrity by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas.
- Performing various tasks assigned by the floor nurse, including checking vital signs, weighing residents, applying creams/ointments, and collecting specimens.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Certified or registered as a nursing assistant in the state of Wisconsin.
- Experience in long-term care, with a minimum of 1 year preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and with care towards residents, families, and other staff members.
