What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Reliable Dispatch LLC?
We are looking for an experienced full-time dispatcher to join our team. As part of our logistics team, the dispatcher's role is to provide overall support in booking, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, data entry and overseeing drivers and the load delivery process. Previous experience with dry vans or a similar industry is required.
Responsibilities:
- Find loads and negotiate shipment prices.
- Dispatch drivers based on customer requirements.
- Record load data in the system.
- Manage last-minute scheduling and rescheduling, and communicate updates to customers and drivers.
- Address operational and logistical issues with customers.
- Monitor drivers’ ELDs to ensure driver compliance with DOT regulations.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Report driver performance issues or concerns to management for resolution.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with dry vans or a similar industry is required.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in routing and using map programs.
