We are currently seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing commercial automatic doors, doors, and door hardware.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and/or fixing automatic doors, hollow metal, wood, and aluminum doors and frames, as well as hardware or related products.
- Install all wood, aluminum, and hollow metal doors with or without new frames and pocket frames and doors, along with all scheduled hardware.
- Install cylindrical locks, mortise locks, rim cylinders, interchangeable cores, closers, exit devices (mechanical & electrified), threshold weather-stripping, etc.
- Adjust all hardware to achieve optimal function.
In addition to the technical requirements, the successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently and/or within a team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-year experience installing and/or fixing automatic doors/hollow metal/wood/aluminum doors and frames, as well as hardware or related products.
- A.A.A.D.M. certified and experienced automatic door service technicians preferred.
- Possess a strong ability in electro-mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Good organizational skills.
- Mechanical inclination with carpentry skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Computer literate (adept with computers and mobile devices as required for data entry and communications).
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
This position involves regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, hearing, and talking.
Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
