You must have prior success selling B2B building systems or building system integrations. Ideally, you have experience calling on sophisticated buyers like facilities directors and business owners selling engineered building systems, or technology products directly to end users at commercial & institutional accounts. If you have experience selling building technology or commercial HVAC, suppression systems, life safety, or security products it is a big advantage.
You are hunter of new business when you know there is a long-term account with each successful sales. You thrive in a competitive marketplace. You can clearly differentiate yourself, your offerings in a highly commoditized environment.
You are skilled at reaching decision makers. When in front of your buyer, you ask enough questions to go beyond mere surface pain from the prospect, and dig deep asking good questions, great questions and the tough questions that close deals. You don’t sell on price. You position have always positioned your offerings as “premium” selling value.
You are masterful at cultivating relationships and even better at leveraging these relationships for introductions to your customers network and evangelizing your professional services. You take personal responsibility for your outcomes and have high professional standards.
It should be important to you that you work for an organization of high integrity, and who will support your business development efforts. You are a top producer and recognize that you are part of a team of professionals who collaborate to bring the best solutions to your customers.
You are great at gathering business intelligence in the market to build successful sales strategies. You know how to recognize patterns in the intelligence to close more and larger opportunities. You are comfortable using a CRM to build a pipeline and technology to be efficient.
You are comfortable with a variable compensation plan without a cap. Specifically, we expect you to be at "on target earnings" within 12-months. At OTE we need you to be earning more than $125,000 in total compensation. We are looking for more than one producer who can be an impactful contributor and leader on our sales team.
