Babysitter/Nanny

Job Summary
You are seeking a compassionate and reliable Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive care for children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in babysitting, infant care, and working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. This role requires a proactive individual who can educate, engage, and ensure the safety and well-being of the children while maintaining a clean and organized space.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide infant care, including feeding, diapering, and soothing as needed.
• Assist with toddler care by organizing playtime, educational games, and outdoor activities.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children while adhering to any dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean environment by tidying up play areas, cleaning up after meals, and ensuring toys are organized.
• Educate children through structured playtime that fosters creativity and learning.
• Administer first aid when necessary and ensure the safety of all children in your care.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns that may arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience in babysitting or nannying with references available upon request.
• Knowledge of infant care practices and toddler development stages.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with daycare or preschool settings is beneficial.
• Ability to cook nutritious meals for children while considering dietary needs.
• Certification in First Aid or CPR is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to foster positive relationships with both children and parents.
• A patient, caring attitude with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.97 - $30.74 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
