As an HME Support Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Outside Sales Team and key accounts. In this role, you’ll manage incoming orders, coordinate essential documents, verify equipment qualifications based on insurance guidelines, and ensure medical necessity standards are met for each patient. Your work will directly support the efficiency and impact of our sales team and the quality of care provided to our clients.
- Partner closely with sales representatives and key accounts to provide seamless support
- Respond promptly to equipment requests, ensuring responses are delivered within the hour
- Determine qualifications based on insurance guidelines and assess medical necessity
- Manage and prioritize patient needs, meeting critical deadlines
- Coordinate discharges in collaboration with accounts, patients, families, and Sales Representatives
- Serve as a point of contact on Reliable’s dedicated referral hotline, ensuring support for all inquiries
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- DME (Durable Medical Equipment) experience is a plus
- Minimum of two years of experience in office administration or customer service
- A strong work ethic and a self-starter attitude, with the ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
