Branch Manager

Job Summary

This role involves managing personnel, ensuring efficient service delivery, and achieving growth while minimizing operating costs. The Branch Manager will also focus on maintaining high customer service standards and fostering a positive work environment. In this role the Branch Manager will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure all aspects of the operation are successfully implemented and maintained to company standards to include technical equipment, training, scheduling, recruitment, hiring, technical orientation, staffing and financial goals.
• Responsible for the overall provision of services operations success and profitability, customer satisfaction, sales and expense management.
• Assist General Manager in developing plans and strategies to improve the overall performance of the location and to support company strategic plans.
• Lead and supervise 10 Service Technicians’ day-to-day activities.
• Provide an active voice and formally recommend new practices, policies and procedures.
• Conduct weekly service technician meetings (i.e. role play, safety training, technical training, etc.)
• Meet regularly with management and staff to review performance, competencies, sales and customer service.
• Undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently.
• Provide weekly schedules to team.
• Assist the general manager with training, recruiting, promotions and planning.
• Warehouse organization and cleaning, ordering and stocking of pipe and materials.
• Counsel and evaluate employees on an ongoing basis and conduct formal annual performance evaluations.
• Identify opportunities for additional sale of products and services to customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly responding to customer concerns and complaints and by reviewing customer reviews.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with state, city, and all local codes.
• Ensure all products and installations are compliant with manufacture specifications.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email or face-to-face as needed.
• Support the service technicians in their work.
• Act as a service technician in the absence of available technicians.
• Conduct safety training programs.
• Issue safety kits and maintains restocking supplies.
• Maintain positive attitude and working relationship with the management, employees, suppliers, clients, visitors and outsiders.
• Inspire and motivate others to perform well; effectively influence actions and opinions of others; accepts feedback from others.
• Abide by all company standards of performance and code of ethics.
• Follow department policies and procedures related to assigned duties.
• Conduct department meetings.
• Follow quality standards and comply in accordance with rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist in other tasks and duties as assigned by manager.

Experience, Education, Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of management experience.
• Minimum 7 years of plumbing installation or repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Computer and technology savvy and proficient in Microsoft products.
• Ability to meet sales targets and production goals.
• Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations.
• A high degree of analytical ability and sound judgment required.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects, tasks and daily work.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
• Familiar with plumbing tools and equipment.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on holidays with short or no notice.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
