This position is Hybrid 3x per week in our Shrewsbury or Dartmouth office

Reliable Respiratory is a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company that provides the highest quality level of service for patients in need of respiratory, diabetes, urology, and maternity support. Equipment provided includes, CPAPs, BiPAPs, AutoPAPs, nebulizers, oxygen equipment, ventilators, CGM devices, insulin pumps, and breast pumps.

Job Purpose
The Eligibility and Verification Coordinator is responsible for receiving orders from referring physicians, entering this information into Reliable Respiratory’s electronic health record system, and obtaining authorizations from insurance companies to provide equipment to customers. This position will focus on the Diabetes product line.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify insurances online or by phone and document coverage in Reliable Respiratory’s electronic health records
- Work closely with manager to determine eligibility and benefits for all insurances
- Create and maintain a step-by-step process document to verify in-network insurances for billable HCPC and procedure codes
- Handle incoming communications from customers and referrers in a timely, professional, and friendly manner
- Obtain all necessary insurance authorizations
- Comply with all policies and procedures established by the company and the company's regulatory bodies
- Other tasks and duties as required
Basic Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and not require work authorization from us now or in the future
- 18 years of age or older
- At least 1 year of DME experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication abilities
- Professional computer experience (especially Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work independently to investigate and make decisions
- Ability to prioritize and complete work amidst interruptions in a busy work area
- Ability to comply with guidelines both internal and industry-imposed
- Ability to reconcile multiple shifting logistical factors for each appointment
- Strong attention to detail
