Location: Remote (DC, Maryland, Virginia candidates only)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled ETL Tester with expertise in ETL backend testing, automation testing, and a strong background in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in validating and ensuring the quality of data integration and transformation processes while adhering to the unique requirements of the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Testing:
- Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity during extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Perform data validation between source and target systems, ensuring proper data mapping and transformation logic.
- Identify and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, schema mismatches, and performance bottlenecks.
- Backend Testing:
- Validate database functionality, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
- Execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Test data pipelines for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for ETL and data validation processes using tools like Selenium, Python, or similar frameworks.
- Implement automated regression testing to ensure system stability during updates and deployments.
- Healthcare Domain Expertise:
- Understand healthcare-specific data standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, ICD, CPT) and compliance requirements.
- Validate the transformation and integration of healthcare data, including claims, provider, and patient information.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address domain-specific data challenges.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand ETL requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
- Document test plans, test cases, and results. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required:
- Strong experience in ETL testing, including backend data validation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Selenium, or similar).
- Solid understanding of healthcare data formats, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Educational Qualifications:
- Required - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
- Preferred - Master s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.
Travel:
- Open to travel based-up on the nature of the engagement.
