Drill Room Technician

Job Description :

  • Responsible for operating basic wood and metal working machinery to fabricate and modify various wooden and metal components
  • prepare cabinets and various other components for use by production assemblers
  • Safe operation of drill press, router, band-saw, sander, grinder, and various hand-held power tools will be necessary in this role
  • Route out customized standard cabinets for a specific model trainer
  • Build electrical wiring harnesses using pre-cut wires and harness building jigs
  • Perform quality inspection of incoming material and report defective material
  • Participate on process improvement development teams and implement process improvements
  • Maintaining communication with supervisor of low supplies or issues

Requirements :

  • Experience operating wood and metalworking machinery (e.g., drill press, router, band-saw, sander, grinder, power tools)
  • Ability to fabricate and modify wooden and metal components
  • Knowledge of cabinet preparation for production assembly
  • Experience with electrical wiring harness assembly using pre-cut wires and jigs
  • Attention to detail for quality inspection of incoming materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills for process improvement initiatives
  • Effective communication skills to report supply shortages or equipment issues
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Physical capability to handle materials and operate machinery safely

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm
  • 18.00 per hour
  • Dress casual and closed toed shoes.
