What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Finishers (12 hr shifts) position at Reliable Temps Inc.?
Chicopee manufacturing company currently seeking metal finishers on their 12 hr day & night shifts. Full time, temp-hire opportunity! Looking for candidates with previous metal or machine operation experience.
- Operate and maintain metal finishing machines, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Working with chamfer barrels, polishing machines, spin dyers and shot peen machines.
- Utilize programming skills to adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
- Work with sheet metal components, performing tasks such as cutting, bending, and assembling.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications and requirements. is a plus
- Employ precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
- Perform welding tasks as needed to assemble components securely.
- Fabricate parts using various materials, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
- Experience working with sheet metal and understanding its properties is a plus.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges is a plus.
- Previous experience operating lathes, welding equipment, or other fabrication tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Schedule: 24/7 day shift (7am-7pm) & night shift (7pm-7am) rotating schedule
