What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Shop Technician position at Reliable Transmission Service, Inc.?
Summary The Field Service / Truck Shop Technician level B is a mid-level service / truck shop technician and performs on-site service and repair of customer vehicle, both in the field and at a RTS facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Follows all policies and procedures
- Must possess all abilities for Field Service / Truck Shop Technician level C
- Receive schedule of daily assignments from supervisor
- Must meet or exceed RTS / Allison time guidelines for removal and replacement
- Calibrate ECU's and TCM's
- Have the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and install Telma's
- Electronic Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and separate transmission problems from vehicle problems
- Perform Allison warranty when required
- Vehicle system knowledge
- Organized record keeping or some filing may be required
- Other duties may be assigned
