Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of facilities, machinery, and property. This includes a wide variety of skilled work such as repairs to industrial equipment, fabrication, electrical and plumbing repairs, light carpentry, building maintenance, repairs and facility cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all policies and procedures
Daily check machinery to ensure proper operation
Properly inspect and maintain all machinery and everything in the shop, as well as office and storage areas
Quickly and calmly respond to and make emergency repairs to various kinds of fixtures and equipment
Perform weekly maintenance on aqueous parts washer, Dynometer, and Mineral Spirit Recycle Tanks
Maintain and work “Project List” according to priorities assigned by self or departmental management
Maintain inventory of materials needed for various components including welding supplies, usable supplies, filters, shop fluids, cleaning supplies etc..
Perform preventive maintenance, as per schedule, including company vehicles, if requested
Make deliveries and pickups as requested by supervisor or departmental management
Organized record keeping or some filing may be required of machinery or inspection records
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:

Knowledge of methods, equipment, and materials used in general maintenance work
Knowledge of maintenance and repair of electric motors, including but not limited up to 220 amp, 3-phase

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired
One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education in the Automotive, Trucking, Construction and/or Industrial Industry
Clean driving record as must
Must be able to become Company forklift certified
Language Skills:
Good reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
