SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team in York, PA. Primary responsibilities include install and upgrade electrical components and electronic circuitry, repairing plant equipment, preventative maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and performing other related duties. This individual will work at various facilities located throughout Central PA and the company will provide transportation. Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Successful candidates should possess good industrial electrical skills, mechanical skills, and be proficient at troubleshooting, updating, and repairing plant equipment.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Utilizes basic hand tools
- Installs and upgrades electrical components
- Performs repairs and inspections of equipment
- Installs variable frequency drives and programming
- Radio remote crane controls
- Performs some basic welding and cutting torch use as necessary
- Understands and learns equipment operation through training, observation, and reading operations manuals
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Develops and maintains positive customer relations
- Efficiently communicates with other plant personnel
- Inputs daily log/work order information into our software
- Performs other related duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Electrical and overhead crane experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED is required; secondary education is preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in plant maintenance (heavy industry environment) is preferred
- Comprehension of machine manuals is required
- Electrical and Overhead Crane experience is preferred
- 480v 3 Phase electrical experience is required
- VFD experience is preferred
- Ability to work independently and have a strong work ethic
- Basic computer skills are required
- Must be familiar with and willing to learn OSHA safety regulations
- Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills
- Must be willing to work some weekends and evenings as required based on client shutdowns
