The Area Manager supervises Residence Leads and caregivers to ensure quality service delivery and resident well-being.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee operations across Appleton area Residences to ensure high-quality care delivery to residents.
- Provide guidance and support to Residence Leads to enhance leadership skills.
- Ensure compliance with state, MCO, and Caring Corner policies and guidelines.
- Maintain completeness and confidentiality of resident records.
- Ensure validity, completeness, and proper record-keeping of staff documents.
- Implement Residence Service Plans.
- Ensure quality implementation of Resident Support Services: Activities, Medications, Meals & Nutrition.
- Ensure thorough understanding of Resident ISPs and BSPs by Residence Leads and caregivers.
- Enforce safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness, upkeep, and safety of residences.
- Manage medical appointments and medication administration.
- Monitor grocery procurement and meal quality within guidelines.
- Ensure timely and quality Incident Reports & Behavior Tracking.
- Coordinate resident weekly social and recreational activities with Residence Leads and caregivers.
- Facilitate meetings for residents and care teams as required.
- Respond to resident emergencies.
- Participate in hiring and interviewing processes.
- Manage caregiver staffing, shifts scheduling, and leave plans.
- Conduct caregiver training and appraisals.
- Hold periodic meetings with Residence Leads.
- Coordinate and communicate with management on key matters.
- Timely report any infringements and risks to management and relevant bodies.
- Provide weekly updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities reports to management.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate holistic care plans.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Experience and Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field.
- Minimum five years of healthcare or assisted living experience with leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of state regulations governing adult family home operations required.
Other Job Requirements:
- Minimum age of eighteen (18) years.
- Valid driver's license with clean records.
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Completion of communicable diseases screening.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), social work, or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Completion of at least 15 hours of training as required under DHS 88.04 (5).
Required Skills:
- Professional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; ability to speak a common non-English language spoken in Wisconsin preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
