Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist performs administrative and support functions for the purchasing, production, admin and sales departments of Reliance Metalcenter.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Job Function:- Ending and creating production jobs and other functions for production role.
- The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the accuracy of floor stock inventories.
- Frequently communicates with the purchasing, receiving, admin and sales departments to help expedite special orders and receipts.
- Assist Purchasing Manager in daily tasks as required: Updating receivers, Mill certs, Purchase Order Entry when required.
- Stock checks and inventory adjustments.
- Check in returned material (RMA’s) and ensure that they are put back to stock or scrapped as necessary.
- Making sure material is scrapped in the system if required.
- Cycle counting
- Vendor Return Orders. Entering return order, scheduling disposition with vendor. Remove material once return is complete.
- Backup receiving of material
- Assist with the physical inventory.
- Assist Sales Department: Follow up on backorders, and stock checks
- Travel may be necessary to 192 branch to assist with inventory issues
- Must be dependable and reliable with good attention to detail.
- Experience in computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word ©, Excel, and Outlook.

Skills:- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions of policy and application of them in business operation.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have above average ability in mathematics i.e. add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- REASONING ABILITY SKILLS: Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard and un-standard situations. Work independently; be able to use discretion and independent judgment without immediate direction or supervision.
