Job Responsibilities and Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Workforce Accommodation Learning Consultant will be accountable for leading and facilitating the successful completion of learning and development for new hires, incumbent specialists, and other organizational stakeholders. Duties may include, but are not limited to, instructor led training in a one-on-one or group setting, facilitating specialist on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and technical training, as well as all required and targeted training initiatives in a classroom and/or virtual setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructor Led Training
- Design, develop and deliver training via traditional and virtual classroom methods, including; one-on-one sessions, job aids, learning technologies, participant/instructor guides and/or any combination thereof.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and make modifications as appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge of changes to products, claim handling procedures, systems, and processes.
- Continuously looks for ways to enhance technical instructional delivery and presentations skills and effectiveness.
Communication
- Collaborate with management and team to monitor and create action plans based on training results.
- Schedule/coordinate training classes in partnership with claims management team.
- Collaborate with team on projects and other assignments as needed.
Coaching/Mentoring
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert and resource, guide, and advisor for new hires and incumbent specialists.
- Present information in a comprehensive manner and utilize a variety of methods to facilitate learning.
- Maintain subject matter expertise by conferring with business partners to gain knowledge of work situations requiring further training, understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
- Provide 1:1 coaching to specialists as needed.
Content Creation
- Partner with appropriate stakeholders, including Compliance, Product, WFA Leadership, Learning & Development and Claims Governance Team to develop, review and/or deliver process documents and process change information.
- Develop, administer, and analyze questionnaires, surveys, practice exercises, and pre/post-assessments to assess the effectiveness of the training programs.
- Ensures the quality and consistency of course content.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required. Depending on a team member’s location, onsite attendance may be required during training sessions over and above the company’s current hybrid schedule.
Team Leadership and Administrative
- Provide Refresher training on specific topics as requested.
- Participate in client meetings as requested.
- Set up new hires in the Bridge platform and other learning platforms; and assign onboarding courses.
- Monitor completion of required annual Compliance courses.
- Source and provide ongoing education on ADA/ADAAA/PWFA/State Accommodation laws.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES, AND/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE
*or equivalent experience gained from any combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience*
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of employment accommodations experience is required. Experience in Leave and Disability Claim Management is preferred.
- Experience running trainings sessions and developing learning programs preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in the role of an Accommodations Specialist.
- Proven ability to manage different learning styles and interact with a diverse population.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various forms of communication.
- Must have excellent presentation skills.
- Understands different learning styles (e.g. how to provide needed information to individuals in a manner in which the content can be clearly understood by the individual and appropriate to job level and training needs).
- Proven problem solving, decision-making and organizations skills are required.
- Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality required.
- Ability to adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
- Experience with a learning management system preferred.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Programs (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Travel may be required; up to 20% to accommodate training needs in other locations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting for prolonged periods of time, frequently standing, walking distances up to one mile, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, occasionally lifting 25lbs, extensive typing, picking up and holding small objecting and otherwise using primarily the fingers rather than the entire hand. Employee is required to have visual acuity sufficient to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing notes; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading. Employee is required to have hearing sufficient to understand verbal instruction and answer telephones. The expected hiring range for this position is $61,690.00 - $77,130.00 annually for work performed in the primary location (Phoenix, AZ). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
