Job Responsibilities
- Create customized automation designs
- Proficient in 2D/3D modeling
- Ability to develop, read, and analyze blueprints
- Design using 2D/3D modeling; AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Conceptualize, design and analyze parts, components, assemblies and subassemblies
- Maintain system and product database by writing computer programs and entering data
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing
- Produce associated conceptual drawings
- Identify opportunities for design improvement, and cost reduction
- Carry out technical and manufacturing troubleshooting and establish procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences
- Evaluate and implement design changes, specifications, and drawing releases, working closely with the engineering team
- Support customer builds, installations and production at company and customer plants.
- Work closely with suppliers to insure components meet specifications specific to design responsibilities
- Strong problem solving skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2 years of design experience in mechanical department
