Job Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive mechanical estimates
- Perform material take-offs and develop detailed quantity estimates for HVAC piping and duct, plumbing, and process piping systems
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain pricing and ensure accurate cost assessments
- Analyze project risks, schedule requirements, and constructability to provide value engineering recommendations
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for submission to clients
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents, and correspondence
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and ensure alignment on project requirements
- Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques
Job Qualifications
- Must be mechanical industrial estimating no residential
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
- Mechanical estimating - HVAC, plumbing, piping. NOT sheet metal
- Needs to understand MEP (mechanical electrical plumbing)
- Software experience
- Big mechanical contracting companies like walbridge, ideal, etc.

Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
