What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Reliance One, Inc.?
Job Responsibilities
- Working with a group of engineers, production team members, maintenance, and technicians to develop and implement new technologies across powertrain plants
- Current team is completing new product launches
- Continuous improvement of current powertrain lines
- Machining and CNC programming (CNC programming to cut metal and drill holes, mill surfaces, etc.)
- Troubleshooting the machine when the tooling is having issues
- Prefers someone that knows programming and what the machine is doing
- Skilled on setting up new robots, knows the communication of the machines (CNCs)
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, powertrain engineering, or related industry
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, process improvement, and project management
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams
- PLC experience
- CNC background
- Knowledge on machine tooling
