Job Responsibilities and Requirements
The Vice President of Talent Management is a senior-level position within the Human Resources (HR) team and a strategic partner to the business leaders, overseeing talent development and talent management. The VP of Talent Management will lead the efforts to develop and retain talent with the goal of building the internal talent pipeline to ensure the organization has the right human capital to meet business goals. This position works closely with the senior leadership and HR leadership teams to align talent strategies with business objectives, and is responsible for setting strategy, managing processes, and driving execution for results.
Overall
- Collaborate with the company's senior leadership and HR leadership teams to develop talent strategies for development and ongoing growth of team members and to ensure the internal talent pipeline necessary to meet the company's objectives.
- Collaborate with and function as a leader in the HR team to develop and execute the HR strategy.
- Establish and track talent metrics to ensure the team and programs are effective and support the strategy.
- Set the vision for programs, practices, and processes that make a strategic connection between diversity and inclusion practices as it relates to strategy.
- Establish strong feedback & measurement systems with leaders and team members to ensure the programs are meeting the needs of the business and fulfilling the strategy.
Talent Development & Management
Consult and collaborate with leadership to create and drive talent strategies that are aligned with the business strategy and support organizational direction and culture.Oversee, develop, recommend, and lead key strategic talent initiatives such as leadership development, succession planning, team member training and development, performance management and coaching.Facilitate management development and other programs.Develop, lead, and monitor the team member onboarding program to ensure effective handoff from "candidate" to "team member" once new team members are hired. Ensure the onboarding program supports the desired team member experience.Lead the design and creation of team member development and training programs to meet current and future needs of the company.Develop and oversee mentoring and coaching programs.Create systems to identify future leaders and high potential team members, and work to create development plans for them.Create programs to guide team members in their career paths and provide opportunities for growth and development.Leverage and expand existing learning and technology solutions, including the Learning Management System, to deliver innovative and cost-effective learning, with a focus on continuous development of our leaders and team members.Establish and manage systems to evaluate team member performance, provide feedback, and set development goals to create alignment across the company and drive high performance.Oversee the tuition reimbursement and continuing education programs.Ensure talent programs are well developed and executed and support the culture and values of the company.Employee Engagement Surveys & Engagement Measurement
Ownership of the employee engagement survey program, including monitoring and reporting results and trends, and developing and leading the action planning program for the organization and individual departments.Lead the Tokio Marine Culture & Values survey, including monitoring and reporting results and trends.Lead additional engagement surveys, including best places to work surveys.Culture Stewardship

Bachelor's DegreeMaster's Degree in Organizational Learning, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred15 years HR experience in Human Resources, with considerable time in the talent space10 years' experience leading teamsStrong business acumen, with ability to understand and translate business challenges and requirements into innovative talent solutions that align to business goals.Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive strategic plans that align with organizational goals.Demonstrated ability to translate strategic plans to operations plans, and implement and assimilate plans through strong project management, influence, and cross-functional collaboration.Direct experience creating and implementing learning and development programs.Ability and willingness to be hands-on in executionAbility to provide structure and drive process and metrics.Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels, particularly at the senior leadership level.Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation)Understanding of talent technology platforms and toolsStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to Travel : Up to 10%
The expected hiring range for this position is $168,830.00 - $225,380.00 annually for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
