CLASSIFICATION: Facility Receptionist
GRADE: Non-Exempt; Regular Full-Time
LOCATION: Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF), Eglin AFB, FL- On Site
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential job functions include possessing skills sufficient to operate standard Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) products and windows-based applications used in the logging and tracking of visitors and other information, as required. Possesses computer skills sufficient to operate facility security system. Must possess operational knowledge to navigate and access DISS or other security information systems to verify clearance information. Perform computer database management and shipping/receiving. Some security escort services will be required.
GENERAL DUTIES: Works under the close supervision of senior level security and facility management personnel that facilitates the secure operation of the GWEF through visitor control, facility opening/closing and perimeter control utilizing a windows-based C*Cure 9000 event Monitoring system. This position requires a set schedule of Monday - Friday from 1200-2000 (B Shift Friday 1000-1800. Candidates are required to maintain knowledge of GWEF security operating procedures, instructions, policies, and processes.
OTHER DUTIES: Other duties include general housekeeping of work area and cleanup of assigned work area. Will be required to perform general receptionists’ duties such as filing, answering telephones, conveying messages.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Support E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in computer skills to operate standard Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) products and other windows-based applications.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must possess a SECRET Security Clearance and they must be able to meet requirements to operate in an enhanced security environment. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company quality, safety, environmental, security and administrative policies; supports process improvements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most duties will be performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. May require outside work occasionally.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and require some lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials.
