Stamping Specialist

Position Overview:

The Stamping Specialist is responsible for training, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining all presses to optimize production efficiencies. Working in collaboration with Tooling and Manufacturing Engineer on projects such as refurbish, repair, new tool build and press programing/setup.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

· Responsible for all press setup, functioning properly and maintaining optimal production.

· Train new operators on setup, troubleshooting and other daily tasks.

· Run a press daily.

· Set up Press runs to achieve optimal production of quality product.

· Ensure all Presses are within calibration requirements, fluid fill requirements and functioning correctly.

· Identifies opportunities for improvements and implements solutions.

· Work with Tooling and Manufacturing Engineer to procure, improve, repair, and/or install tooling, fixtures and any additional equipment needed.

· Work with leadership to schedule startups, tool changes and preventive maintenance.

· Review and/or revise existing documents, processes and/or methods to improve press operation processes.

· Report out any issues or stoppages to leadership and through plant status email.

· Assist Maintenance and/or Tooling with troubleshooting.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area.

· Wear required PPE.

· Perform duties in a safe manner and observe safety procedures.

· Ensure full adherence to 6S (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Expertise:

· High mechanical aptitude with proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to learn all press equipment, tooling, and process.

· Ability to use precision measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, depth and bore indicators, tooling scopes, etc.

· Ability to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math computations and proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

· Be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.

· Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.

· Routinely walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist.
