Job Summary
Reliance is a steel service center; the main focus of this job is being able to properly operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle, (CMV) as well as knowing how to properly secure a load on a flatbed trailer. Must understand all the requirements per the FMCSA. This job is based out of Idaho.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
- Inspect / Check each load against load paperwork and correct any problems prior to leaving Reliance
- Properly secure load prior to leaving Reliance and after each delivery
- Tarp load whenever required
- Drive to each customer included on load paperwork and be sure the proper material is unloaded
- Complete paperwork at each stop, which includes having the customer sign the Bill of Lading
- Pick up material as instructed and complete all required paperwork
- Call the Shipping Office when deliveries are complete or when problems are encountered
- After completing deliveries and returning to Reliance, match all Bills of Lading to Work Orders and turn in daily
- Fill-lout / Complete Log Books and Trip Sheets daily
- Work 40-60 hours per week as determined by supervisor
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Make deliveries in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming
- Lay over for 1 night when needed at Reliance expense
Perform Pre / Post inspections of truck and trailer. If any issues are found take to approved vendor for repairs.
Required Skills
Must have a valid Idaho CDL Driver License & Medical Card
Must have a clean driving record
Must have a working knowledge of all regulations pertaining to operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle based on the FMCSA
Read, Write, and understand English
Basic communication skills for dealing with customers, vendors, and other employees
Basic knowledge of steel products is a plus but not a requirement
