Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement memory care strategies for individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Support individuals with autism by employing effective communication techniques and behavioral strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and follow individualized care plans.
- Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately.
Skills
- Proficient in monitoring vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices and techniques is beneficial.
- Familiarity with senior care best practices and challenges associated with aging populations.
- Strong understanding of ADLs and how to assist clients effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various caregiving environments.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing quality care.
