Position Overview

Reliant Gases is seeking an experienced Bulk Gases Sales Manager to drive strategic growth initiatives and provide coaching and leadership to the Sales Team. In this position, you will oversee the full spectrum of sales activities, including market research, solution development, proposal generation, customer acquisition and account retention. You will work closely with the Reliant Gases Division Manager in analyzing market trends and crafting strategies that will position Reliant Gases as the preferred supplier to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

·       Lead the sales team to consistently achieve revenue, margin and profit goals

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, semi-annual, sales strategy for the sales team that prioritizes value-based solutions and aligns with organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic direction to the sales team, ensuring the achievement of annual revenue and customer retention objectives.
  • Assist the sales team with prospecting, creating value-based solutions & proposals, contract negotiation, and the securing of long-term partnerships.

Strategic Market Development

  • Analyze emerging market trends to identify growth opportunities and guide strategic decisions regarding future product and equipment offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Division Manager to forecast sales performance, set pricing strategies, and aligning departmental budgets with corporate objectives.
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, industry partners, and suppliers.

Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals to build a cohesive and motivated team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and establish individualized development plans to foster professional growth.
  • Provide hands-on support through lead generation, joint customer visits, mentoring, and coaching.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, IT security protocols, and other organizational policies.
  • Develop and manage yearly sales team’s Travel & Entertainment budget.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to review progress, share best practices, and align divisional and company goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or applicable Business discipline.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably in the industrial bulk gas field.
  • Knowledge in all Industrial Gases, their applications and the associated applications equipment.
  • Demonstrated success in building, training and managing high performing value-based sales teams.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in a value-based sales methodology such as Value Based Selling (VBS) or Professional Selling Skills (PSS).
  • Strong business acumen, including experience with P&L management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player who can work harmoniously, and effectively, in a fast growing, family-owned business
  • Sales and Marketing experience gained from similar sized, or type, of organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a collaborative, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support team operations and attend company meetings & events.
  • Preferred Location: Denver, CO (Remote candidates with strong qualifications will be considered)
