Company Overview : Based in Pampa, Texas, Reliant Holdings is the largest privately held CO2 related family of companies in North America with over 30 years of experience in the capture, purification, and production of CO2 for use in a wide range of industries. Its main product lines include bulk food and medical grade carbon dioxide, restaurant and convenience store mini-bulk carbon dioxide, oilfield grade carbon dioxide for oilfield markets, as well as dry ice.
Position : The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the Company, acting as a strategic partner and advisor to the President & Chief Executive Officer and to the Executive Strategic Team (EST) and other members of leadership. This role includes analyzing data and advising leadership on ways to use the information to make strategic decisions regarding Reliant’s future. The CFO is responsible for developing Reliant’s overall financial policies and provides strategic direction of all financial and administrative functions for Reliant and affiliated partners.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all sides of finance and accounting, including treasury, cash disbursements, payables, invoicing, and receivables.
- Support and develop plans for growth to increase company profit while reducing expenditures.
- Serve as the financial advisor to the President & CEO and EST team for strategic planning purposes for executing the financial strategy of the organization.
- Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company.
- Effectively recognize and clearly communicate potential risks.
- Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and the application for lines of credit and other types of loans and associated agreements including credit agreements, loan covenants, guarantees, subordination agreements, promissory notes and the UCC filings, and compliance certificates.
- Maintain and improve as necessary an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards and procedures to ensure the Company complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), debt covenants, tax laws, and other industry specific regulations.
- Work closely with the President & CEO and other executives to coordinate planning, establish annual budgets, and set other priorities for the company and individual business divisions.
- Use data to make informed strategic plans for the Company’s long term strategic objectives and growth.
- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, partner equity, budget to actual, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement.
- Accurately and promptly provide reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators, and outside agencies as required and / or requested.
- Partner with the President & CEO to lead and support the Director of Corporate Finance to support corporate finance activities, including sourcing of capital for continued growth of the Reliant Entities, including accurate reporting of debt obligations and cash flow projections, and establishing internal guidelines for leverage, risk, and debt.
- Manage and supervise all AR / AP cycles with external partners and customers, including the continuous improvement of accounting and billing systems and controls.
- Identify investment opportunities and support mergers and acquisitions.
- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance and administrative teams.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Ensure all finance and administrative team members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
- Establish and monitor team member performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct semi-annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
- Mentor and develop team members using a supportive and collaborative approach.
- Partner with operational leadership regarding regular operational transactions, and / or any business activities or changes that could affect the bottom line.
- Conduct regular internal audits of expenditures, assets, and liabilities.
- Ensure the financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes.
- Own the annual external audit process, including facilitating the preparation of all required client prepared workpapers and acting as primary liaison with external audit team during the audit and throughout the year as needed.
- Provide leadership and support for the strategic direction and goals of the IT department.
- With the President & CEO, provide leadership and support to the HR department in strategy and compliance to accomplish the corporate goals.
