Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Processor with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably with a broker or Independent Mortgage Bank. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in processing conventional and government loans, managing multiple files efficiently, and ensuring compliance with all underwriting and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
Verify borrower information, including income, credit, and assets.
Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to facilitate timely closings.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.
Communicate with borrowers regarding documentation requirements and loan status.
Maintain proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) and automated underwriting systems (AUS).
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably at a broker or Independent Mortgage Bank.
Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA loan guidelines.
Experience working with multiple lenders and loan programs.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
