Primary Responsibilities
- Learn and follow safety regulations.
- Must be knowledgeable about and be able to safely operate excavators, skid steers, and forklifts.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
- Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
- Perform variety of field tasks related to concrete work, general carpentry, excavation, and civil site work.
- Perform daily maintenance on machines (includes but not limited to greasing and filter checks).
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform duties outside.
- Assisting in loading and unloading of materials and equipment at yard and jobsites.
- Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment.
- Stays alert at all times to notice areas of potential dangerous situations.
- Remains OFF of the cell phone and focused on the tasks at hand.
- Shall wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the job duties.
- Entry level available but 2-3 years with construction and equipment operating experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pay DOE
