Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Sales and Marketing
We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative with background in
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales and/or medical device sales to help us grow our business, specializing in orthotics, bracing, pre and post operative orthopedic devices and all other general DME supplies and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build sales relationships by frequent interactions with physicians and discharge planners at hospitals, private practices and other healthcare institutions to ensure referrals and orders
- Establish and maintain relationships with doctors, hospitals, and other referral sources in the medical community
- Maintain sales territory in order to meet census goals and comfortable with sales techniques such as cold calling and contact planning.
- Frequent visits physician offices/hospitals/assisted livings facilities and other practices to educate and inform referral sources
- Public speaking, give presentations to organizations, businesses, healthcare professionals (MD’s, RN’s, Patient Coordinators, Hospital Executives)
- Meet or exceed a monthly sales quota
- Stay current and continually educate referral sources on coverage requirements
- Responsible for accomplishing sales objectives within assigned area
- Responsible for growing and preserving the existing customer base in Southern California and expanding business to other territories
Key Qualifications:
- Strong contacts and established relationships/accounts in the medical community
- Documented sales success; Candidates should have verifiable sales success/awards from previous positions
- Cold calling as well for business generation
- Must be a highly ethical, self-motivated team player and have strong communication skills
- Knowledge of the health insurance industry durable medical equipment
- DME product knowledge and sales experience are advantages
- Focused Outcome-oriented
Experience:
- At least two years in hospital /DME / physician or surgical sales experience or strong contacts in the medical community
