What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Relief Today?
Full-Time Nurse Practitioner
The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
They will diagnose conditions and administer a wide range of treatments available at the clinic.
Additionally, they will collaborate with the Doctor, and Office Manager to maintain the clinic’s high standards of medical excellence, ethical practices, and operational efficiency.
The position will report directly to Keith Bjork, MD, Owner and Medical Director.
Relief Today offers our staff a stress-free environment with no nights/ weekends or being on-call, making this role ideal for those who are tired of hospital or large practice demands.
His or her duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with Doctor regarding medical issues and Office Manager regarding operational issues.
- Performing initial examinations and patient observations.
- Administering treatment to patients.
- Monitoring patient charts to ensure proper medical vetting, accuracy and completion.
- Medically responsible for any emergency that arises before, during and after all treatments.
- Interfaces with our patient’s Primary Care Physicians, Internists, Endocrinologists, Cardiologists, etc. concerning the appropriateness of treatment, when required.
- Acting as a resource for the other medical and non-medical Relief Today staff.
- Acting as a resource for prospective and existing Relief Today patients and patient advocates.
- Setting up, operating and monitoring medical equipment, including weekly testing of AED machine.
- Assisting with the opening and closing of the clinic with regard to the medical supplies and processes.
- Maintaining a consistently clean work environment.
- Assisting with management of daily medical operations of the Clinic.
- Foster professionalism among Clinic staff.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws and other Federal, State and Local regulations.
- Promote excellent customer service by all levels of staff.
- Ensure patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting, when there is a complaint and develop process improvements to prevent recurrences.
- Oversee and assist clinic staff with cleaning the clinic week.
- Other duties as assigned.
