Job Overview/Summary

The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator supports the implementation of anti-trafficking programming at IRC Silver Spring including direct services, supervision of a small team and donor compliance. The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator also conducts outreach, develops local partnerships and provides training throughout the service delivery area. This position reports to the Extended Services Program Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and local issues related to trafficking; actively participate in statewide initiatives and task forces addressing human trafficking.
  • Develop and continuously refine program response protocols; conduct community mapping to identify services and resources available to survivors.
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships to support a robust referral network; collaborate with a wide range of public and private partners including community health workers, social service and legal providers, and local law enforcement to raise awareness and address human trafficking from a multidisciplinary perspective.
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements; maintain budgetary and reporting processes.
  • Oversee service delivery to ensure alignment with program policies and objectives, and to provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate and survivor-centered case management that promotes safety, independence and overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within data management systems.
  • Supervise staff and interns, including onboarding, training, professional development, and oversight of daily case management activities.
  • Support reporting requirements by collecting, tracking, and analyzing relevant data.
  • Provide direct case management to a small caseload of clients as needed.
  • Adhere to all IRC policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Social Work, International Relations, Human Rights, Criminal Justice or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Four years of relevant professional experience, with progressive responsibility.
  • Experience working with survivors of trafficking, immigrants, or other vulnerable populations.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant administration and staff supervision.
  • Strong skills in partnership development, public speaking, and professional representation; ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Anti-Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), its associated regulations, and relevant trafficking-related policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment combined with frequent local travel within the service delivery area.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
