Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Supervisor to join our team. The Event Manager will oversee all aspects of event management, from conception to completion, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and meets the client's expectations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including banquets, corporate functions, weddings, and fundraising activities.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Manage event budgets and ensure all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
- Coordinate with vendors such as caterers, decorators, and audiovisual teams to ensure all aspects of the event are covered.
- Oversee on-site event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and guest services.
- Develop timelines and schedules for events to ensure the timely execution of all tasks.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process and during events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event management or related fields such as hospitality or catering.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience managing event budgets effectively.
- Experience in fundraising events is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- A background in restaurant or hospitality management is preferred.
