Job Description
Business Solutions Analysts (BSAs) will work closely with PMs and team members to ensure the smooth execution of projects. The Contractor's BSA staff will provide Project Management Office (PMO) support at enterprise, program, and project levels. BSAs are responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; gathering and documenting requirements, and providing support to PMs; and conducting administrative duties such as Work Order Authorization (WOA) administration, contract management and administration tasks, coordinating meetings, taking notes, and developing project reporting processes and structures to ensure transparency on progress of initiatives and projects.
The BSAs shall provide services including, but not limited to, the following :
1. Assist project managers with project documentation, including creating and maintaining project plans and schedules.
2. Provide support on enterprise-level tasks such as policy changes, program changes and business changes.
3. Monitor project performance and report on deficiencies.
4. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes.
5. Create and maintain a project document repository to house all project related documents and status reports (e.g., enterprise level SharePoint site,
Confluence, JIRA, etc.).
6. Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Collect, organize, and analyze project data to generate external and internal reports, dashboards, and metrics.
8. Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and problemsolving within projects.
9. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, users, and stakeholders.
10. Support the dissemination of project updates, milestones, and deliverables.
11. Build and maintain a positive working relationship with team members, customers, and external partners.
12. Produce and publish monthly project status reports from the DHCS JIRA workload tracking tool.
13. Perform contract administration activities on related contracts and work with DHCS Contract Managers to ensure contractors are compliant.
14. Assist with financial documents such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Budget Change Proposals (BCPs), and Advanced Planning Documents (APDs).
15. Assist with the PAL documentation.
16. Assist program with capturing As-Is and To-Be business workflows necessary to support business changes.
17. Establish strong working partnerships with internal business programs and product managers.
18. Follow product delivery standards, methods, and practices, which may include Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc.
19. Utilize departmental tools and standards for communicating and managing projects.
