What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst III position at RELX?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Independently or as part of a team, conduct data manipulation, execute product tests and data appends, analyze results, and create presentations in support of customer product tests and evaluations, pro-active sales material, product performance/monitoring, and product development efforts. Follow analytical, programming, and quality assurance guidelines, standards, and best practices. Manage own tasks independently, complete tasks efficiently and embrace team collaboration for multiple concurrent projects. Present work effort, results, and conclusions in a manner appropriate to the audience's level of understanding and willing and able to ask for help/work with others as necessary. Provide some domain expertise in the lines of business, points in the insurance continuum, products, and data sources that they regularly work with including, but not limited to, the basic regulatory, contractual, and legal/compliance constraints as well as sources, update frequencies, and nuances within the data. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 1 year of experience: developing code using Python, test, and update applications; possessing knowledge of product layouts, data dictionaries, product IDs, and product validation rules to facilitate the integration of products into various systems; developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system, reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management; and developing metrics to measure various characteristics of a business.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
