We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and review of symptoms
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in CO
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the applicable specialty area: Family Practice or Adult-Gerontology
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (Kareo/ Tebra)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile procedures
- Specialized knowledge in specific areas such as pain management, or behavioral health is a plus
- Experience administering injections and performing minor procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
