Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising Specialist based in the USA to raise capital for Mutual Funds or Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) domiciled in India. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully raising at least $50 million in funds and deep connections with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, institutional investors, and other potential capital sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to attract investments into Indian Mutual Funds or AIFs.
- Identify and engage with potential investors, including HNIs, family offices, institutional investors, and fund-of-funds.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors.
- Organize and lead investor roadshows, presentations, and meetings to showcase fund performance, strategy, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and Indian regulatory frameworks regarding fundraising and investment activities.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting fundraising progress and insights.
- Stay updated on market trends, investor preferences, and competitor strategies in the USA and India.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance brand visibility.
- Work closely with the fund management team in India to align fundraising efforts with fund strategies and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fundraising for Mutual Funds, AIFs, or other investment vehicles.
- Proven track record of raising at least $50 million in capital.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the Indian financial market and regulatory environment for Mutual Funds/AIFs.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Preferred:
Existing relationships with potential investor networks in the USA.
Prior experience working with Indian Mutual Funds or AIFs is a plus.
Knowledge of cross-border investment vehicles and structures.
