This position is located in the
Magnolia Hospice Austin location
and a Weekend OnCall role .
Duties include :
Assessing and providing hands on care
Admissions after hours
After hours discharges including death pronouncement
Communicating with the interdisciplinary team
Documenting necessary information in the electronic healthcare record
Collaborating with the hospice physician
Coordinating necessary ancillary services such as DME, lab, xray, transportation
Providing services collaboratively with other healthcare providers such as in nursing facilities, hospitals and home health
Oversight and direction of unlicensed assistive personnel
Education and support for family, caregivers and facility staff
Requirements :
Position requires dependable transportation without restriction.
Other requirements include :
Unencumbered licensure in Texas. License in compact state will be considered.
Current healthcare provider CPR
Ability to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodation
Must pass criminal history check and other required background checks
Drug and alcohol screening
One year of registered nursing experience. Two years with hospice preferred
Bilingual English and Spanish or other languages a plus
