Position Overview: As an IT Support Specialist at REMarkets, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the technological infrastructure for our production facility. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining the efficiency of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, experience in a logistics/manufacturing environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees on-site, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot and repair IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of warehouse management systems and other software solutions.
- Train employees on IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient and secure usage of technology.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, including equipment, software licenses, and warranties.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards related to IT operations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking technologies, including Windows operating systems and Office 365.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software applications is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
