Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing production, operational, and sales, preparing cost reports, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. This role will help ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation, while identifying opportunities to optimize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Maintain standard cost systems and update as necessary.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and variance analyses.
- Monitor inventory transactions and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed cost data.
- Work with crossfunctional teams (e.g., operations, purchasing, production, sales) to improve cost control measures and provide analytical support.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support cost projections, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to inventory and costing.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Light domestic travel.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
- Audit experience.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- MS Business Central ERP experience a plus.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational skills, with close attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
