Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our property management activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property management principles.
Duties
- Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations of the property, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with Section 8 guidelines and Fair Housing regulations while interacting with residents and prospective tenants.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to tenant applications, lease agreements, and maintenance requests using property management software.
- Support sales efforts by promoting available units, conducting property tours, and assisting with lease negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts and legal documents related to property management activities.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when communicating with residents, vendors, and potential tenants.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues reported by residents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Sales experience is a plus, particularly in leasing or real estate environments.
- Familiarity with contract law as it pertains to property management is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Experience using property management software such as Appfolio.
