Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and process-oriented Production Manager to lead and manage our production operations in a medium industrial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal performance, coaching and developing team members, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.
- Lead and manage production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing output.
- Supervise and develop a team of production supervisors and floor associates through coaching, performance management, and leadership.
- Build strong relationships with peers across departments to foster collaboration and cross-functional efficiency.
- Drive a culture of ownership, engagement, and accountability at all levels.
- Collaborate with customer service, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to align production goals.
- Use data and statistical analysis tools and techniques to pinpoint root causes of production issues.
- Create, implement, and sustain support processes and systems to facilitate a smoothly functioning manufacturing process.
- Develop data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Understand and evaluate labor standards, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Maintain and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, scrap rate, downtime, and equipment utilization.
Management Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience coaching and managing teams.
- Proficient in performance management practices, including progressive discipline.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Excel or similar tools for creating tables, reports, and tracking metrics.

- Understands labor standards and can recommend improvements.
- Skilled in applying problem-solving methodologies.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining production processes.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Ind., Mech., Chem., Elect.), Operations Management, or a related field.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- 2–5 years of supervisory or production management experience.
- Additional 2–5 years in a manufacturing support role preferred.
- Clear evidence of leading successful process improvement initiatives.
