Job Description
As an Order Entry Technician, you will be responsible for entering prescriptions into the Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. You will also communicate with customers on the telephone and will need to respond quickly and courteously to their needs.
Location: On site at our closed-door pharmacy (16601 Central Green Blvd. STE 300 Houston, TX 77032)
Schedule: 2nd shift:2:00pm-10:30pm, rotating holidays/weekends

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of a pharmacist and in compliance with State law, Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for:
- Efficient order entry and follow-up
- Troubleshooting prescription/patient data entry discrepancies
- Ensuring accurate and timely prescription/patient information input
- Collaborating with Order Entry leadership to meet department goals
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Must work with urgency and timeliness
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy is required (good standing)
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer skills
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge
- Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
