Project Estimator
Job Summary:
The Project Estimator prepares price quotations for current and potential customers for Remedi8. This position is responsible for doing research so that an accurate quotation is prepared. Research may include matching pricing information from prior invoices and/or estimates, clarifying specifications with data submitter, obtaining information from outside vendors and communicating pricing information to Accounting, Sales, Compliance and others.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, life safety plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying reports, life safety plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Become familiar with the pricing and function of all Remedi8 services.
- Review drawings and specifications to determine the most appropriate product, and amounts of that product, based on specific job requirements to complete the project.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and travel time requirements.
- Review upcoming projects with Project Mangers for efficiency and accuracy.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
- Coordinate freight estimates via the Shipping Department as needed.
- Research projects as needed.
- Maintain a database of quotation information to be used for follow-up purposes.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Experience with database management and project management.
- Professional presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Secondary education in Construction Management preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- The associate is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Working extended hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must pass drug screen, criminal background check and driver’s license check.
