Channel Partner Manager Job Description
Job Summary:
The Channel Partner Manager is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with channel partners to drive sales and revenue growth. This role plays a key part in supporting, training, and educating partners while managing their performance. The Manager will ensure that both client and partner needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
In addition to collaborating with channel partners, this position will also involve presenting to and educating potential customers during the sales process. The role is primarily remote with 50% travel required, along with monthly meetings at the HQ office in Lenexa, KS. While the position is remote, preference will be given to candidates based locally and working from the HQ.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for achieving established revenue targets through channel partners
· Responsible for maintaining positive and engaging relationships with channel partners
· Educate partners on our services and products and provide ongoing training, including webinars, presentations, meetings, materials, etc
· Act as a liaison between partners and internal teams to resolve service, product or logistical issues
· Assist in go-to-market strategies and promotional campaigns with channel partners
· Measure and report on the performance of channel partners, using metrics such as activity (service request), quotes, sales, and revenue
· Provide feedback and coaching to improve partners’ performance
· Assist the marketing department develop training materials and sales materials for channel partners
· Collaborate with channel partners to develop a pipeline of initiatives to increase sales
· Collaborate with the internal sales team to ensure success with peer accountability through Key Performance Indicators and continuous training on how to sell through channel partners
· Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
· 5 years of experience in sales (B2B service sales preferred)
· 3 years of experience selling through channel partners preferred
· 2 years of experience in channel partner management preferred
· Experience selling services to the Healthcare Industry preferred
· Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners to the point they become your advocate
· Experience navigating complex partners and negotiating to a positive outcome and satisfaction for everyone
· Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software
· Experience in customer relationship management.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to partners and stakeholders
· Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions.
· Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales and revenue targets.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
